First Time at Freebies 4 Mom?

Welcome to Freebies 4 Mom, a blog by a mom of two toddlers who is passionate about helping others save money on their everyday purchases. You can save money by requesting free samples, using coupons, getting rebates, winning blog giveaways and sweepstakes, and learning how to live a more frugal lifestyle by getting things for free. My name is Heather, and I want to help you get the most out of your first visit.

"Home" is where Everything is New
Click on the "Home" button at the top left and you will see the latest posts on the Freebies 4 Mom blog. Everything is listed in chronological order with the newest posts at the top.

Looking for something specific?
Type it into the search box at the top right. Or try the menu buttons at the top and they will sort the posts by major category with the newest post in that category at the top. I've got some of the hottest topics on Freebies 4 Mom in a list you'll find in my right sidebar. These are favorite posts and popular categories.

How do you keep up with what's new?
Start with reading what's been posted today and then decide how you want to get your updates. You can visit Freebies4Mom.com at any time or you can subscribe by email, in a blog reader, or on your mobile phone. Look at the "Subscribe to Freebies 4 Mom" box on the right to subscribe. Most readers find that subscribing to one daily email update is the best way for them to keep up with what's new. It's easy to subscribe by email, just enter your email address. I update Freebies 4 Mom several times a day on week days and a little less on weekends.

How do I ask a question?
The best way to ask a question is to post a comment on a recent post. Click on the comments link at the bottom of the post, type in your question, and if you don't know what profile to select to "Comment as" just pick "Anonymous". You can also "Subscribe by Email" to the comments on that post so any new comments will be emailed to you. This way thousands of Freebies 4 Mom readers will see your question and can jump-in to help you out. I try to answer a lot of questions myself, but I simply can't keep up with every question every single day because of my limited time.

Is the advertising on Freebies 4 Mom a good resource?
I try to select ads that are good resources, but because I am unable to screen and approve each and every ad shown in my ad spaces I am unable to endorse or recommend the advertising content. Freebies 4 Mom is my job, and the only way I get paid is by dedicating space to advertising. You'll find ad space in both the left and right sidebars, and text ads between the top three posts in the main content area. Please focus on what I post in the main content area as the hottest and best freebies available. Please read my Disclaimer, Disclosure, and Privacy Policies for more information about Freebies 4 Mom.

What is Freebies 4 Mom about besides getting free stuff?
I want you to be a smart and empowered consumer. My job is to educate you about how to save money on everyday purchases. I do not want you to request every single freebie you come across. Please read Be a Smarter Freebie Finder. Learning how to stand up for yourself as a consumer is important. That's why I wrote Be An Empowered Consumer. It's all about asking for what you want, giving feedback to stores and companies, and standing up for yourself to help you save money.

Thanks for visiting Freebies 4 Mom and I look forward to spoiling you with freebies!

saw your clip on TV, think you are great, keep up the good work and continue to be an inspiration for all moms everywhere :)

wish there were more freebies that you are not required to participate in whatever they are trying to promote. like buying magazines and such.

Your TV spot on Inside Edition caught my husbands attention - he thought it was a brilliant idea! He was right again. I am disabled by MS and shopping is a real challenge for me. The new products are great to try and talk about savings in a tough economic climate.

I saw your tv spot when I was visiting my parents Christmas Day was impressed. My husband and I kept repeating your web address and he was the first one to check out your site and I would rather think that going to the mailbox was like Christmas Day rather than the dread of checking it with only bills... so thanks for your site.

Online coupons are great, but what stores will take them? I'm from Northeast Wisconsin and as far as I know there is only one that will take them, but only up to $1.00 off. I'm very disappointed in Walmart not taking them!!

I TAKE MY ON-LINE COUPONS TO THE WALMART AND TARGET IN MY AREA AND I HAVE NEVER HAD NO TROUBLE WITH THEM TAKING THEM.

I use to take my online printable coupons to Wal*Mart. They just recently like in the past month have stopped taking the online coupons. Bummer!! They said that people were bringing in fake coupons. Its ashame that some people have to cheat and mess it up for everyone else just trying to save and get a deal. Hopefully in the future they will except them again. Great website. Thanks so much. I love getting samples and coupons. Keep up the good work Heather.

All Walmart stores should still accept printable coupons, but you've got to really be assertive in order to use them. Call Walmart corporate to tell them that your store is not accepting them and talk to your local store's manager about accepting your legitimate printed coupons. I am wondering the trick to coupons. How are people getting things for free? Can you use more than one coupon for the same item? rnicolerees@gmail.com

I saw your interview on Jan. 01 and when I saw it I remember saying to myself "Is that even possible to get stuff FREE in the mail?" LOL boy was I joking myself. Ever since I subscribed I received everything I signed up for. Gosh, I love it. I'm a 23 year old single girl with no kids but I have 9 nieces and nephews. My sisters and sisters-in-law really appreciate the fact that I always have a little something for their kids. Whether its coupons or maybe a little something that came in the mail. Your e-mails that i receive I always take the time to read them and make sure I didn’t miss anything! Everything you do is helpful. Of course the FREEBIES are the best! I make sure to check your site every Friday :) I was one of those regular people that got coupons and never paid attention to them. Ha! That won't happen again. Every little discount that I get I make sure to use it. I honestly can say that I have saved money ever since I started and it hasn't even been a month yet! Thanks again for what you do.

Freebies For Mom,
I have a new blog, www.sensibleliving365.blogspot.com that I started in January. I am planning on having a monthly giveaway, but am first looking into ways of promoting it. Do you list links to other blogs for their giveaways? My first giveaway would be for the book "Money Matters for Newlyweds" by the late co-founder of Crown Financial Ministries, Larry Burkett. Please let me know...thanks!

Have you run into instances where a store (in this case Target) will not take internet coupons because they will not scan? I was trying to use 2 coupons tonight at Target that I printed off of Target's own website, but they wouldn't scan. They would not enter the numbers manually, so I had them take the items off of my total. I find this really odd when you are trying to use current coupons that are being offered on their website.

HELLO TO ALL, I JUST WANTED TO SAY THANKS TO FREEBIES FOR MOMS. I DID NOT BELIEVE ANYTHING WAS FREE ANYMORE BUT THIS WEBSITE HAS PROVED ME WRONG.

I am having a problem printing the coupons. The paper is coming out blank. Yes, I do have ink in the printer.

Our own Economic Package - Each week, I make a grocery list, my son can take the list and search the internet for coupons. So he does not eenter any sites that may not be good - I have the popular sites listed in my favorites on the computer. He then receives half of the savings. A math and computer lesson for him and a time and money saving idea for me.

I have three more Pampers Gift to Grow reward points if anyone is interested. I believe today is the last to enter them.

The Staples in my area (Allentown, PA) would not honor the coupon for Purell hand sanitizer for their small sample sizes.

Hi!

I'm not a mother, but I love to save. Why pay more when you can pay less? lol. I just want to know, where or how do I get those savings cards to use on websites like Shortcuts.com? Is that a stupid question? I started signing up on the site and then they were asking me for card information. And do I have to pay for the card?

Heather said...

Jovel -

You get the grocery card savings cards from your local grocery store. Shortcuts.com is for Kroger-owned grocery stores.

Wasn't there a sign in link on the right side of the home page at one time ? I can't remember if I noticed it or not. I thought there was one when I first signed up for email updates. Thanks !!!

Hi, I was just wondering what the best way to take advantage of coupons was. I have heard that they are no good unless it was something you would normally buy. How do you keep track of everything to maximize savings? Do you keep a running list of items you need and then wait for coupons or do you buy when you have a coupon??? Thanks in advance for your help! I love your site by the way!

Arby's is offering a free FruiTea on May 6 at participating locations (no other purchase necessary).

I am disappointed in the free samples...you have to pay for offers just to get the "free" sample. it certainly is not worth it.

Heather said...

You should NEVER pay for a free sample. Please read my "Be A Smarter Freebie Finder" for more advice.

I have recently dipped into the frugal world in the past year and it has helped me so much!! I do however own a blog and was wondering if ANYONE would be willing to give me a tip? I have searched high and low on different topics and cannot seem to find anything Im really searching for. So I figured to leave a comment in hopes that someone would help me out a little.

What im looking for help wise : How to make my own custom header and how to apply it to blogger. And Im having some trouble with google analytics. Thats just a start lol.

PLEASE if anyone would be so gracious to assist I will be very appreciative.

Thank you

Creating a custom header is not something I did myself on my blog, but it is something you can learn to do yourself. Or you can look for a designer to create one for you. I encourage you to check out Blogcoach.org for the best blogging support around.

Hi:

I am new to couponing and freebies. I love this site. I found your link off babycheapskate.com. I just wanted to let you know I won the $25.00 Huggies gas card this morning on my first try after I entered the 6 points you posted today. I just wanted to say thank you. I also wanted to say that I love your posts, they are very informative and I find that they never send me on a wild goose chase like some others I have encountered. Thanks for all the free information.

Last week I saw a link or website that showed like the sale items at CVS, Walgreens and showed where you could get a coupon to. Then it gave you the final price you would have in the item. Does anyone know where this is?

Are sites like Vocalpoint and Shespeaks worth the time?
